In observance of the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance for the Victims of Hurricane Katrina, CCI organized an interfaith prayer gathering. The speakers included Mayor Dave Bieter, Rev. Henry Carmona, Pfc. Swanby (discussing her experience in New Orleans), Pastor Bryant Townsend and Reverend Steve Tollefson. The children of St. Joseph's School joined us in song and spirit on the steps of St. John's Cathedral. We also welcomed families from the affected regions into the community.
